At Chrysalis Courses, we know how important it is that you choose the right career path in order to maintain a fulfilling and well-rounded life. You may have considered becoming a therapist and, because hypnotherapy is becoming one of the fastest growing professions in the UK, we thought we’d give you a summary of why our entry level Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills Training Course could be the right option for you.
.) Successful students will gain an AIM Awards Level 3 Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills. The course is accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Society and is a route to being included on their Accredited Register – the only hypnotherapy register that is recognised by the Professional Standards Authority, whose aim is to safeguard clients’ best interests. The National Hypnotherapy Society are a body who ensure that their members are working to best practice through accreditation and continuing professional development. They also ensure that their members are safe and are working to a high ethical standard. Being a member also ensures eligibility to join the Royal Society for Public Health.
.) The courses are part-time and so will fit in around busy lifestyles, jobs and families. They are creative and relaxed in approach, which has an emphasis on practical work and reflective journals. There is no final exam, so you can learn and grow without pressure but in a nurturing, supportive environment that will help you achieve your full potential.
.) We have courses at many locations across the county. There are twenty-one separate locations, from Southampton to Glasgow, so you’re sure to find a course that is convenient for you.
.) You’ll meet other like-minded people, who could become your colleagues and support network as you build your career as a qualified hypnotherapist. The course includes group work as well as individual study and so is geared towards building relationships that can become essential when you are working to become a therapist so that you can share new ideas and challenge set ways of thinking.
.) You’ll learn six essential areas over ten weekends, including: basic hypnotherapy techniques, initial induction and consultation techniques, application of hypnotherapy for issues such as weight loss, stress, anxiety and quitting smoking, application for physical symptoms, hypnosis for intimate relationships, sex and childbirth and counselling skills.
.) Your qualification will open the way towards a recognised route to Higher Education, so you can continue your learning towards your chosen career as a hypnotherapist. You will then be able to work in a way that suits you: either employed or self-employed, or full or part-time.
.) Aside from training for a career that focusses on helping others, you’ll learn a lot about yourself in a safe, professional environment. Personal growth, as well as professional growth, is a big part of what we offer, an essential quality in a high-end therapist.
