Quality and Finish Comparison between Moleskine and Leuchtturm Notebooks
When comparing the notebooks’ basic build and quality of craftsmanship, there is very nothing to choose between them. In this case, the front and back cardboard covers, which are hinged together, serve as the primary structural elements. These covers have a vinyl coating on the outside and the vinyl is folded over on the inside.

The signatures, or bundles of folded pages, are secured to the notebook use to cover using card paste-downs so that the notebooks can be opened flat for writing. Glue and thread are used to stitch these “signature” pieces together. The card endpapers in both books are an important structural component.
